Club Aims

To introduce young children to the exciting sport of sailing in a relatively secure environment. In doing so, fostering team building plus interpersonal skills. The sailing club provides all the necessary equipment to allow children from all backgrounds to learn and enjoy sailing through the values of teamwork, aiding their gaining of personal development through a relatively safe, fun sporting experience. To continue the growth and development through its links with Alverstoke, Gomer and more recently Leesland Junior schools to assist the provision of sailing activities through community foundations between these Organization.

Main activities


Sailing sessions for club members in school years 5 -10 (ages 9 -15) between the hours of 2:00pm & 4:00pm Saturday and Sunday afternoons. This season extends between May and September with sailing continuing through all weathers unless considered unsuitable by the Duty Sailing Officer.
